You want to make a nice place to live, and improve your home's value at the same time? Go where the buck gets you a bang- the bathroom.

When remodeling your bathroom, you can either do it on a dime, or multi-dollar.
Here are some suggestions if you want to improve the situation, but not break the bank:

1) Fixtures. Lights, faucets etc can be changed without breaking your bank account, and will have a great effect on the look.

2) Paint. Color change is often overlooked and great way to change the mood of your bathroom.

3) Toilet. A newer, nicer toilet can make an old bathroom suddenly much nicer!

4) Flooring. Not often super cheap, but most bathrooms are not huge castles, and can re-floored for less than you think. Marble, hardwood, pergo etc can all be done for less than you might think.

5) Candles, art, towels etc can also be improved to gain a new appearance for your bathroom. Mix and match, and even try your local swap meet or garage sales for unique ideas!

1. Entertaining. Are you the type of person who likes to have big groups over for dinner parties? If you are, you should consider planning for lots of counter space for food prep and perhaps a second dishwasher to make after-party cleanup an easy breeze.

2. Shopping habits. If you come home from the grocery store with a bunch of food to feed a big family, you'll probably need a very big refrigerator. If you have a small family or if you like to make smaller shopping trips several times a week, you can get away with a smaller model.

So youre thinking about a remodel, room addition, or just want to improve your home.

Unfortunately those projects also usually cost the most and are usually extensive in nature, so for this week we will cover some inexpensive quick and easy projects
to dress up your home.

Quick and Easy..meaning little time, little effort and most importantly, little cost.

Project #1. Clock.
A vintage or interesting clock will dress up any room and add an interesting dimension.

Project #2. Picture Transfer

Steps:

1. Print the chosen image onto transfer paper.
2. Place the paper face down on a piece of stretched canvas.
3. Iron on the paper and peel it off to reveal the image.
4. Apply a sepia-toned colorwash for an antiqued effect.

Project #3. Alphabet Block Coat Rack

Steps:

1. Paint three-inch dowels and a wooden plaque in desired colors.

2. Drill holes into wooden blocks.

3. Fill the holes with wood glue and insert dowels.

4. Use screws to attach the dowels to the plaque, and youre done!
